No.1246; April's Saffron Light Beguiles (framed)

This painting received an Honorable Mention award from judge Gareth Jones at the Richeson75 Landscape Show 2024. The following are his remarks: "I love the sense of calm throughout this painting. Everything is played down and handled with subtlety - but then the whole scene is punctuated by the strong shaft of sunlight, really illuminating the face of the fuilding and foliage. The background trees are nicely indicated and allow the focal are to really come to the fore.
